WATCH: Rep. Jayapal asks Bondi to personally apologize to Epstein survivors

In a heated exchange, Jayapal asked Bondi to address the survivors in attendance and “apologize for what the Department of Justice has caused them through the completely unacceptable release of the Epstein files and their information.”

What followed were minutes of back-and-forth and debate between Jayapal, Bondi, committee chairman Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and ranking member Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Maryland.
In her final seconds, Jayapal reiterated her belief that the release of the Epstein files was a “massive cover-up.”
He watches: “Trump called me a traitor, but Epstein survivors are patriots,” Green says.
The Department of Justice has released millions of pages of documents, photos and letters related to Epstein. But it was more than a month past its deadline, and the releases were mired in missed revisions and accusations of major omissions. Millions of pages related to the investigation into the late convicted sex offender remain inaccessible, although the White House defends its review as comprehensive and complete.
A bipartisan group of lawmakers has called for more transparency, accusing the government of failing to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act passed in November, and survivors issued a Super Bowl ad telling Bondi “It’s time for the truth.”
