As we mentioned in a previous pieceAfter Steven gives Lucy the tape, she runs into Tegan and warns her to stay away from him. The only problem? She had actually delivered this warm-up the day before and had no memory of the conversation. Lucy admitted that Steven holding the tape over her made her feel like she was having a “psychotic break that never ends”. So it is clear that the pressure of secrets, lies and blackmail manifests itself physically and takes its toll.
If Lucy forgot her conversation with Tegan, is there a chance she never got the tape from him? Did he lie about making a copy? Could the tape be based on the “scandal” mentioned in the description? We’ll have to wait and see! It’s also worth noting that Episode 7 ended with Brie seeing a photo of Evan and Lucy at a Hawaiian party together, and he got his shit together and took Evan’s phone. So, we also still have to wonder what Brie will do next in 2009 and, of course, how things will end in 2015 now that Steven knows about Brie and Wrigley’s feelings.
“Steven is obviously not going to let that bomb die or explode underground,” Oppenheimer warned of the 2015 wedding revelation. “He’s going to try to do as much damage as possible with this lie, or with what (Berry and Wrigley) reveal.”
