As chaos unfolds underground, Daniel tries to understand the situation better by speaking to someone incredibly knowledgeable about the KA29 kidnapping, John Billy Brown (Ian Burfield) and Sam. He heads to the interrogation room and sits down with Stuart, who takes one look at the stranger in front of him and understandably asks: “Who the hell are you?!”

When that doesn’t work, he mentions Stuart’s late father, mother, and brother Louis (Jack McMullen), who died during the KA29 hijacking, hoping to turn him against the organization.

“Cheapside chewed it up and spit it out. But that’s what they do,” Daniel says. When Daniel starts talking repeatedly about Stuart’s mother’s death, he finally experiences an emotional reaction. Unfortunately, he has no answers. “Do you think kidnapping the kingdom was good for me?” Stuart asks. “I was put on that plane to die. That was the plan. And when the plan failed, I fell for what happened… I was completely cut off. I am nothing. I know nothing. I am nothing.”

“Stewart and Sam have unfinished business. That’s very clear at the end of Season 1,” Smith continued. “You know this situation hasn’t been resolved. And Stuart has unfinished business with his organization. He was put under the bus in Season 1, basically. So they both have unfinished business.”
