Norwegian Olympian Sturla Holm-Legrid has apologized after admitting to cheating on his ex-girlfriend on live television at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

The athlete admitted that he “deeply regrets” the withholding of his bronze medal and his teammate Johan Ulva Boten receiving the gold medal “on a festive day for Norwegian biathlon.”

Liegrid spoke out after candidly revealing he cheated on his ex three months into their relationship following the men’s 20km biathlon race on Tuesday.
