New Jersey Governor signs order barring Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from taking action on state property




New Jersey Gov. Mickey Sherrill (D) on Wednesday signed an executive order prohibiting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from conducting operations on state property. Sherrill’s order excludes immigration operations authorized by warrant, reflecting a broader push by House Democrats to have the agency require a judge’s immigration approval.
