John Frank’s sprawling Greenwich mansion is under contract

Just don’t drink and drive!
Wine baron John Frank’s massive estate in Greenwich, Connecticut with a “crazy” secret. Garage that can accommodate 30 cars — and the twisty driveway that also serves as a private Go Kart track — was finally contracted.
The 10-bedroom, 14.5-bathroom home, located at 97 Bexland Road, was last asking $24.95 million. It first hits the market for $33.8 million in 2022.
The final selling price and the identity of the next owner are not yet known.
Frank, the former CEO of Gray Goose, made his name by bringing the high-end vodka brand to the United States in the late 1990s. Frank then sold it to Bacardi for approximately $3 billion. (A former vice chairman of the Sidney Frank Importing Company, he was also the first to bring Jägermeister to the United States.)
The property is centered around an elevated main house of 8.71 acres, with two separate lots of 5.3 acres and 5.13 acres for a total of 19.14 acres. The 17,878-square-foot headquarters was built in 2009 by architect Paul Marchese, former chief engineer of the original World Trade Center and a Greenwich local. Due to its massive size, it can host 250 people for events.
Underground, the next owners would have a huge garage, and Frank’s collection included several Porsches.
The classically designed house is surrounded by mature trees and green lawns. It opens to a large foyer with a double staircase leading to two separate suites.
Large formal and informal spaces are set aside for entertaining. The first floor opens to a large living room and of course a fantastic bar area.
A large chef’s kitchen anchors the home, as well as a family room and dining room.
The master bedroom suite has a terrace overlooking the backyard and has a sitting room, spa-like baths, and walk-in closets. The third floor comes with high ceilings and a gym.
The basement also contains a wine cellar, tasting room and golf simulator.
Outside there are two swimming pools and a separate pool house with two en-suite bedrooms, a changing area and entertainment space. Another original structure is now used for staff housing.
