Iranians chant “Death to the dictator” on the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution

Iranians in various cities chanted anti-government slogans on the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, in response to official state-sponsored celebrations. Chants of “Death to the dictator” and “Death to Khamenei” were heard as darkness fell. The anger comes after a brutal state crackdown on demonstrators in which thousands of people were killed.
