The US House of Representatives votes to cancel the tariffs imposed by Trump on Canada

Representative Don Bacon of Nebraska was one of six Republicans who crossed the aisle to join Democrats in approving the measure. Before the vote, he said that “tariffs were a ‘net negative’ for the economy and are a significant tax paid by American consumers, manufacturers and farmers.”
