WATCH: ‘You’re responsible,’ GOP Rep. Massie tells Bondi about Epstein files
Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., told Attorney General Pam Bondi in A House oversight session on Wednesday She is responsible for part of what he calls a cover-up of the investigation into the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Bondi asked Massie why he did not question President Joe Biden’s former attorney general, Merrick Garland, in the same way.

“You don’t have to go back to Biden. Let’s go back to Obama, let’s go back to George Bush. This cover-up goes back decades and you’re responsible for that part of it,” Massie said.
The Department of Justice has released millions of pages of documents, photos and letters related to Epstein. But it was more than a month past its deadline, and the releases were mired in missed revisions and accusations of major omissions. Millions of pages related to the investigation into the late convicted sex offender remain inaccessible, although the White House defends its review as comprehensive and complete.
A bipartisan group of lawmakers has called for more transparency, accusing the government of failing to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act passed in November, and survivors issued a Super Bowl ad telling Bondi “It’s time for the truth.”
Wednesday’s hearing provides an opportunity for lawmakers to question Bondi on a number of controversial issues related to the Justice Department, including the Trump administration’s failure to meet a deadline set by Congress to release all of the Epstein files; the legal justification for the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and the strikes on alleged drug boats in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific; As well as prosecutions of Trump’s political rivals, such as James Comey and Letitia James. Bondi is seeking to revive the two cases that have already been dismissed by a US District Judge.
