Dozens of children were killed in a violent crackdown in Iran


Iranian boy Taha Hoshyar Baghbanani, 12, was killed while returning home from a trip to the store with his parents, according to his family. He was one of at least 200 children killed during Iran’s violent crackdown in January, according to the Iranian Teachers Union. Another victim, 16-year-old Sina Ashkoosi, was a known Harry Potter fan. The book’s author, JK Rowling, expressed her condolences to the teen on social media.
